Fly Riyadh → Jeddah

Late afternoon or early evening flights are cheapest and most available. 2 hours flight. Check in to your hotel — being within 10 minutes of the marina matters.

Early briefing and boat departure

Most dive boats depart 7:30–8:00 AM. You'll be briefed, kitted up, and heading out to the reef before the city has woken up. The morning light on the water is extraordinary.

Dive one — reef exploration

Your first dive of the day. The guide knows the site. Relax, breathe slowly, and take in the scale of what's down there. Most first-timers describe the initial descent as the moment everything changes.

Surface interval — coffee and fruit on deck

45 minutes on the surface. This is when the conversations start. You compare what you saw. The coffee tastes different out here.

Dive two — a different site or another entrance

Second dive of the morning, often at a different site or another angle of the same reef. By now you're warmer in the water and more relaxed. This is usually the better dive.

Lunch on the boat or at the marina

Back at the marina by early afternoon. Most operators have recommendations nearby — or lunch is served on board.

Explore Jeddah

Al-Balad (the old city) is 20 minutes from the Corniche. If you've never walked it, now is the time. UNESCO-listed coral-stone buildings, souqs, and coffee houses.
